about: On the heels of a GRAMMY® win, two DOVE honors, his debut solo release and first country radio single, Jason Crabb is ready to celebrate the season of Christmas. This “singer’s singer” lends his soulful, raspy tones to classics as well as contemporary Christmas tunes, including the new awe-inspiring “Joseph.” Because It’s Christmas combines upbeat, blues-y tunes like “Let’s Make a Baby King” and “Go Tell It on the Mountain” with soft, orchestral classics such as “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” in addition to down-home melodies such as “Christmas in the Country.” Enjoy this memorable time of year with one of Christian Music’s leading vocalists who celebrates the birth of the Savior and the miracle of Christmas in a style all his own with this easy-on-the-ear, heartfelt release. Review: 2009 Brought us Jason Crabb’s solo debut album which won a Grammy and numerous Dove awards. That is very impressive for a debut project. Fast forward to 2010, as the Christmas season rolls ahead, Mr. Crabb has now brought us the Holiday themed, Because It’s Christmas. If you’ve ever listened to on the radio/CD or heard Jason live, you know that this man, much like Kenny Hinson could sing the phone book. While his debut effort was country-themed gospel, here we have a mixture of country, blues and pop/classical. My personal favorites are the country flavored “Christmas In The Country”, the bluesy “Let’s Make a Baby King” and the lite classical 4HIM cover, “Strange Way To Save the World”. The future ahead looks very bright for Jason Crabb, I hope we will continue to hear his kind of music, for years to come. As the season changes, and the rain turns to snow, put on Because It’s Christmas. It will no doubt be a blessing to your soul. (That rhymed!) – Ernie R. Track Listing: 1.
